Enchanted: Forest of Light

Friday, Dec 30th, 2016, my husband and I went to this event. It is being held at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge, CA until January 8th, 2017.

There was so much more than I captured. Some of it was barely visible on camera, even with editing software. The more I tried to make it visible in camera the more distorted and wrong it was. So, I left those out.

Because of my physical issues and walking, I used a wheelchair provided by the garden staff, free of charge. By doing so, it made my field of vision in the wrong place to capture some of these magnificent lights. My husband, being 6’2″, was able to capture stuff I couldn’t.

There were color changes happening the whole time. You can see multiple colors in several images. At the beginning, there was a lighted tulip garden. Those lights rotated through colors. I captured some, as you see in the gallery.

It was magnificently overwhelming. My eyes and brain were flooded with such great sights. If you have the chance before it’s over, go see it for yourselves.

I asked one of the garden staff how long they’d been doing this? She said it was their first year. It was mind-blowingly amazing.
